Dr. Matlik is a senior consultant in pediatric and pediatric neurology, head of pediatric and pediatric neurology department in burjeel hospital Abu Dhabi. Prior to his joining at burjeel hospital, he served as a Consultant in pediatric neurology in tawam hospital, completed his graduation (MBCHB) from Mosul University in Iraq in 1981.

Subsequently, he completed his Diploma in Child Health in 1993 and the Arab Board of Pediatrics in 1994. He became a Member of the Royal College of Pediatric and Child Health, UK in 2003.

Dr. Matlik was awarded Fellowship (FRCPCH) from the Royal College of Pediatric and Child Health, UK in 2015. He also holds Certificates in General Pediatrics Training 2011, (CESR), and UK, in 2012 he achieved the European training advisory Board in pediatric neurology, and he is a member of the British pediatric Neurology Association (UK).

Dr. Matlik has more than 30 years of experience in his field which include the key areas of EEG reporting, Epilepsy Management, Spasticity Management, Headache, and Migraine. He has authored many articles that have been published in international publications of repute. He is MRCPCH examiner for the Royal College of pediatric and child health.
